Caladium ‘Mirabilis’ Care Guide – Alans Garden

Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. A little gentle morning sunlight can enhance its leaf colours, but avoid harsh afternoon sun.

Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top 1–2 cm of soil feels slightly dry. Reduce watering during cooler periods.

Soil: Use a loose, well-draining, organic-rich mix. A combination of cocopeat, compost and perlite works well.

Humidity: Prefers 60–80% humidity. Keep it away from dry air and strong air-conditioning.

Temperature: Best between 20–30°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.

Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, diluted NPK fertilizer once every 3–4 weeks during active growth.

Pot: Choose a pot with good drainage holes. Avoid letting water collect around the roots.

Care Tip: Caladiums can naturally slow down or lose leaves during dormancy. Keep the tuber warm and avoid overwatering during this period. 🌿
