🪰 Pitcher Plant Care Summary

• Light:
  • 🌞 Sarracenia (North American): Full sun (6+ hours daily).
  • 🌤️ Nepenthes (Tropical): Bright, indirect light.
• Water:
  • Use distilled, rain, or reverse osmosis water only.
  • Keep soil consistently moist—never let it dry out.
• Humidity:
  • Nepenthes love high humidity (60–80%).
  • Sarracenia are more tolerant of lower humidity.
• Temperature:
  • Tropical (Nepenthes): 70–85°F (21–29°C).
  • Temperate (Sarracenia): Can tolerate cooler temps but need winter dormancy.
• Soil:
  • Use a mix of sphagnum moss + perlite or peat moss + sand (no fertilizer, no regular potting soil).
• Feeding:
  • Don’t fertilize!
  • Feed live or dried insects if indoors and it’s not catching its own prey.
