Variegated cacti are beautiful succulents known for their unique patterns of green, yellow, cream, or pink on their stems. These plants are hardy but need the right balance of light and water to keep their colors vibrant.

Light ☀️
Variegated cactus prefers bright indirect light to partial direct sunlight. Morning sun is ideal. Too much harsh afternoon sun can burn the lighter variegated parts.

Water 💧
Water only when the soil is completely dry. During warm months, watering every 10–14 days is usually enough. In cooler months, reduce watering to once every 3–4 weeks.

Soil 🌱
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Adding sand, perlite, or pumice helps prevent root rot.

Temperature & Humidity 🌡️
Variegated cacti prefer warm temperatures between 18–32°C. They thrive in low humidity and should be protected from cold and heavy rain.

Fertilizer 🌿
Feed with a diluted cactus fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing in winter.

Pruning & Maintenance ✂️
Remove damaged or rotting sections with clean tools. Rotate the plant occasionally so it grows evenly toward the light.

Most variegated cacti can be propagated through offsets or stem cuttings. Let cuttings dry for a few days before planting in dry soil.

Overwatering is the most common problem and can lead to root rot. If the cactus becomes soft or discolored, reduce watering and improve drainage.
